| Hi No matter what I try I can't seem to connect to you for updates or forums. I run Norton 360 and have tried turning off the firewall but it makes no difference at all. When I open MySF it hangs as a grey screen for several minutes and then opens but the dashboard says it couldn't establish an internet connection. I can't download updates and the default box says it may be a program is blocking it and if I try to connect to your forums from the dashboard it says establish an internet connection first. I'm afraid I'm running out of ideas. Is there some "techy" type of rule I can check for somewhere as something seems to block just this program? Regards

Hello,
It sounds like MySF is unable to send and receive information between our website and the software. In a lot of cases, even if you turn your firewall off, it will still block access to and from the Internet.
To get around this you will need to create an exception in your firewalls program list for MySF Manager. You may also need to check your firewalls blocked program list as MySF Manager may have been accidentally placed on this list.
Please let us know how you go.
Best Regards,
MySF

| Hi What should I enter? I have allowed the program but that still doesn't work. Does MySF run off a network? The Norton program asks for an internet address (eg 123.123.456) for a network. It also blocks inbound NETbios from any computer but I can set a rule to allow access but I don't know what to say. Regards

Hello,
You will need to contact the developers of your firewall software in order to get support for it. The only file that MySF Manager requires full access to the Internet through your firewall is 'mysf.exe' located wherever you installed the software. When you contact the firewall support, please ask for instructions on creating an exception to allow all incoming and outgoing traffic for a specific program (in this case 'mysf.exe').
The side panel on the main menu of the software attempts to open a website embedded into the side panel of the software. You can view this website by going to the following link:
http://www.mysf.com.au/mysfweb.aspx
Regards,
MySF

| Thanks, For anyone else has the same problem with Norton, I had to disable the Firewall and Auto protect and under settings > Firewall I had to set the program to "allow". The Norton on line help desk was great but it did take 40 minutes.
