Hi

How do I package up the information to send to my accountant?  You answered this in another question, and provided a link from which the accountant can download the disabled software, but that link doesn't appear to be working.  I can't find it anywhere on the website

Regards

M Hill

Hi,

To get your information to your accountant you will need to email the MySF data file to him/her as an attachment or transport it to them on CD or a USB-stick. The MySF data file for your fund is usually found in the C:\\ directory. It will have a gold coloured MySF logo next to it.

Your accountant can either load the demo version of MySF Manager (if they have not already done so at some point in the past) or they can download the latest copy of Advisor Link. Advisor Link is a read-only copy of MySF Manager.

Once they have the demo or Advisor Link installed they will be able to open your data file and print off all reports, view transactions etc.

A new installer for Advisor Link will be made available tomorrow and we will post the download link to that as another answer to this post.

Regards,

MySF

Hello,

As promised, please click the following link to obtain the latest version of Advisor Link (version 5.0.0).

Download Advisor Link

If you have any problems obtaining Advisor Link using the link above, please let us know via info@mysf.com.au.

Hi MYSF,
I've now completed my first year of accounting (08/09) and moved onto entry of my 09 / 10 year. However, I now want to send the 08/09 accounts to my auditor who already has advisor link. I've read the other postings but they all talk about sending the whole data file. What if i just want to send him that one year rather than include the stuff i've done this year?

Hi Kat,

I don't think MySF has the facility to just pull out one year out of your current file (no doubt the MySF Administrator will correct me, if I'm wrong).

However, thinking somewhat laterally:

IF you completed all your entries for 08/09 AND did the 08/09 rollover BEFORE continuing with the 09/10 entries...

AND IF you made a back-up just after the 08/09 roll over (BEFORE the 09/10 entries)...

THEN this back-up file has the info you want to send to the accountant.

Just a thought.

Hi,

Neil is correct. There is no way to export the information for one year and send that to your accountant. You would need to either send the whole data file, or alternatively you can send through the PDFs created from the year end which may be sufficient.

Also, if your accountant has never installed the full version of MySF Manager and would like to try it then they would be welcome to install the demo and use that to work on your fund. We can also provide them with a temporary license or demo extension for free while they work on an MySF customer's fund.

Regards,

MySF
