Hi,
I noticed a problem trying to re-invest Distributions (the thing I have struggled with most since adopting MySF)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the Sample Fund
2. Select Manage Fund | Add or Manage Assets | Financial Assets | 012-Investment Funds
3. Expand the List of Assets tree and highlight "VAN -> Index Australian Shares Fund @ 30/04/2007.
4. Click on the link "Add more units in VAN"
5. Fields are pre-populated but "ASX Listed" changes from No to Yes (Undocumented feature #1)
6. Select Dividend Reinvested asthe Purchase Type
7. Enter a transaction date
8. Enter some details ($10 per unit by 50 units with $0 brokerage and Tax Type = None, say)
8. Click Add and confirm details.
9. Answer Yes to "Will you need to record Dist. . . "
10. Check the box "Enter full Dividend Reinvestment details later"
11. Notice that although all of the now requested details have already been captured in the Dividend Reinvestment window, they must be re-entered here. (Enhancement Request #1)
12. Enter the correct details.
13. Click Save. You will get a window saying "Partial Dividend Reinvestment has been successfully saved."
14. Click OK.
15. Wait some time in case of delayed processing.
16. Click Exit
17. You will get an error saying "The BackgroundWorker is currently busy and cannot run multiple tasks concurrently."
18. Click OK
19. Check the "List of Assets" tree. The new investment is there.
20. Check the Transaction reporter. The transaction is there.
21. Run Report Tools | Financial | Distributions - you will see "no distributions" (not sure if this is expected or not. I was hoping that this amount would be included on a distribution report)
22. Run Report Tools | Financial | Incomplete Distributions - you will get an error "An Error has" MySF has encountered an error. This may have affected some data, and the program should be restarted. Exit MySF now?"
(Version 3.1.1)
Also, the amount ($500 in the example) appears to hit 4117 on the Trial Balance, but doesn't hit Income under 4117 on the P&L. Is this correct?
Cheers,
Tony
