Hi,

The latest major update to MySF Manager, version 3.0.0, has been released.

This update delivers the biggest changes ever included in a single update for MySF Manager since the software was released.

Added new functionality includes:

Dashboard style main menu, with charts showing a summary of important data
The navigation of the classic menu system has been retained, but you will now see asset allocations, market value of assets as well as income and expenses analysis charts loaded immediately at start-up. This feature was added following customer requests for such summaries.

New revaluations screen with free data
Revaluations have been overhauled and linked in to an automated, free data service. This means that you will be able to revalue all listed assets for every day of a whole year at the click of a button. You will no longer need to download or convert existing stockmarket data.

New income and expense analysis features
These two new features enable you to perform a graphical analysis of your main sources of income and main causes of expense. Results can be filtered by transaction type or account. You can run this analysis for the whole fund or any subset of assets.

New market value charts, with benchmarking capabilities
This feature is also found under the analysis section of the software and enables you to chart the changes in the market value of the assets that you own. You also have the option to benchmark that performance against any single ASX listed stock or even the All Ords.

Dividend and distribution completion screen added
This feature enables MySF Manager users to record dividends or distributions without providing the breakdown of components (tax deferred income, interest etc.) by tagging them for completion later. Details of the components can be entered later into a screen which will automatically adjust and complete previous dividends and distributions.

Simplified restore procedure for backups
This used to be a manual process of finding backups and copying files. From version 3.0.0 users will be able to select a backup which they wish to restore and MySF Manager will do the rest.

Lots of other, smaller changes and of course some bug fixes
An example of one the smaller changes made was an enhancement of the date entry field. In addition to being able to enter the date manually, you can now right click on the field and select from a range of commonly used values or open a calendar to select from there.

We have also changed to .NET 2 technology and upgraded all charting and reporting components. We believe this will make the software more attractive and user friendly as well as help to eliminate previous reporting problems.

If you would like any information about this update please let us know by posting a response or by sending us an email at info@mysf.com.au

Regards,

MySF

In relation to the new free automated revaluation of stock market data included in Release 3.0.0, how often or when is the data available/updated or do I have to specifically download/access for this data.  The last information I find is for last Friday (the 15th) and everything before that , but nothing for yesterday (Mon 18) or today.  I just want to know, and am not complaining, and I would be happy even if it is available only on a weakly basis on Saturday mornings.

Further to my previous querie re revaluation, I have now attempted to do a manual revaluation of the ASX share prices as of tonite 19/06/07 and I find that with at least 4 of my shares the MySF is saying that I have less then 1 share and thus can not perform the revaluation, whilst in fact I have plenty of those shares which are displayed in any of the reports that MySF are producing.

What's going on, I am not sure I like this new format

Hi,

The share price data is not downloaded to our servers and it is only used to revalue listed assets in your fund. No separate data file is saved on your computer.

The end of day revaluation data typically becomes available during the night or during the following day. For example, at this time (9.45am 20/06/07) revaluation data is available up to the 18/06/07.

We will re-test the validation that takes place during manual revaluation to make sure that it is working correctly. Results will be posted here.

Regards,

MySF

Hi,

An update on this error report:
We have received a couple of error reports and requests for improvements that were quite urgent. Therefore we are planning to release another update to the MySF Manager software before the end of this week (22/06/07).

The new update, version 3.1.0 will include
- new report for incomplete dividends and distributions, under Financial tab on Report Tool
- updated revaluations mechanism based on feedback
- error fix on investment strategy attachment
- error fix for previous year MCS

The change to the revaluations includes an update to the validations for manual revaluation, which should fix any problems of the software wrongly giving 'zero units owned' messages.

Regards,

MySF
