Hi,

Can you please advise me how to correctly enter into MySF system the transfer of 2000 Zinifex shares into 6386 Oxiana shares as at 1st July 2008. Many thanks for your help.

Hi,

If you have received only stock in exchange for stock and there was no 'final dividend' or 'special dividend' or any other cash amount involved then this is a scrip for scrip rollover.

Scrip for scrip rollovers should be processed via Housekeeping > Utilities > Scrip for Scrip rollover. Select Shares and Zinifex in the top left area, and enter the date of the event. Under 'choose to enter' you should select 'Number of units received' and type in 6386. At this point you should see the details of the conversion appear in the lower part of this screen. On the right hand side of the screen you should enter the details of the new stock you have received (Oxiana).

Please note that if you have received any cash at all as part of this event then that will need to be processed separately, usually before the scrip for scrip process detailed above and sometimes instead of it.
